Urgent - Can't get valve closed

I posted earlier about some older hydro rain valves. On one of the valves that was not working I mannually turned it on and now it wont shut off, I have no way of shutting of the sprinklers without shutting down water to the entire house.

I have pulled the bleeder rod several times and let water spray up into the air but it wont shut off. Any instant advise would be greatly appreciated.

Time to upgrade your system..

You probably have a shut off valve somewhere.. Basically the point of connection where the tapped into your water supply.

Replace those ancient valves and get a back flow device installed to act as your isolation for the sprinkler system and your house.

I agree with Mitchgo. Also, there should be a flow control on the valve. See if you can turn the flow control off and that should at least help slow down the water flow.
