Rainbird ESP 6 (older model) - Station one is dead.

Station one is not receiving power at the controler. Checked the valve, solenoid, wiring... all checks out when hooked up to a functioning station. Since there is plenty of water pressure, I have the wiring for zone 1 & 2, hooked up together on station 2 ... they both come on at the same time. Not a great work around, but it's doing the job for now.

My question is, What is the cause of this electrical problem? Is there something in the controler than can be repaired/replaced versus replacing the controler? Is this even worth the effort?

On a purely electrical level, the controller might be repairable. On a purely practical level, it will be cheaper to replace it, as no skilled labor of a controller repairman is needed.
