One rain sensor for two controllers

Hi everyone. I have two Toro controllers, same model. Any reason I can't connect them both to one rain sensor?

You may have to find out on your own - pros never directly connect two controllers together, for fear of unwanted interactions - Why is it that your first controller is 'maxed out' when there was more yard to cover? (what make and model?)

Toro Lawn Master II - four zones - all used last Spring. Had a really cut up piece of property combined with low gpm and psi and I used sprinkler heads. I actually may switch out a few sprinklers and use MP Rotators to maybe free up a zone for future use.

New system will be three zones and a much bigger area - Using MP rotators.

EDIT: Hunter says only a wireless rain sensor will work with two controllers.

Pros would trash the first controller, then install one that is capable of caring for the entire property, corner to corner.

Maybe in a few years when I complete the property.

In your situation Wsom

It's completely fine to do what you are asking.

Are the controllers next to eachother?

45 feet away. I can use bell wire. I'll try it out, thanks

Why?

All this talk and running cable 45 feet to avoid installing a 20 to 30 dollar rain sensor.

Help me understand that.
