Get mulitimeter .
Turn on zone one.
If all the other zones come on, test voltage on other terminals.
If they also show 24 volts, turn system off, disconnect any other zone.
Turn zone one on again. Check voltage at terminal of disconnected zone. If still 24 volts controller is shot.
If not, check voltage at the wire you just disconnected.
Had a case last week were wires shorted across, voltage from any zone went to all other zones.
