Bad wire

One zone is not working, I know it is a bad wire and I have run a new one (on top of the ground which fixed the problem). Is there a way to lacate where the wire may have a short??? Not really wanting to run a new wire as I have to go under a 3 car width driveway (ugh). Thanks for any short cuts or ideas :o)

Valve locator would help. At least get you in the area. They are available as rentals.
A ground fault locator would be ideal but don't know of anyone that rents them.

If nothing else works, consider the Add-a-zone . You run a wire from your valve to the next closest valve, not all the way back to the box.
