sensor problem

I am completely new at this. One zone fails to come on for automatic operation.
What's the location of the sensor? How can this be corrected?

Possibilities:
bad controller. check output at terminal.
bad wiring to valve. check output to valves
bad solenoid. Try swapping solenoids.
Can't find valve? Valve locator.

If you are brand new and some of this doesn't make sense, look at TROUBLE SHOOTING.
It'll give you a good start.

doesnt sound like a sensor problem...

sounds like a continuity problem. Have you checked resistance? Have you checked resistance between the valves at the controller? have you checked output from the controller? Before you pick up a shovel, pick up a meter bro/ sis w/e.
