anti-drain valves

I would appreciate some help understanding how anti-drain valves work. I have a wastewater aerobic system with spray irrigation. The starting operating pressure is 30psi and the total pressure required for the pump is 35.6psi. The lot downslopes away from the pump approx 8ft below pump-off switch. I want to control low-head drainage but the specs of the valve I'm considering have a preset pressure of 5psi (12ft of head) and can be adjusted to 14psi (32 ft of head). This valve will be installed on the pipe under the sprinkler head. Will this valve work?

Under-head anti-drain valves will subtract pressure from the sprinkler head, according to their setting.
