Old Valve Water Flow Direction

Hi everyone, thanks for the the great forum.
I want to add a head near this valve but I cant tell which side to insert the T on because I dont know which direction the flow is coming from. I looked on the internet for pictures that matched but cant figure it out. Does anyone know by looking a the picture which side the main flow is coming from?? Thanks.
