using soil moisture sensers

Hi
I am a newbie trying to set up my first irrigation system.I have a electric pump feeding water to 7 zones of 20 gallon nursery containers filled with soiless mix(peat moss)My question is are there any soil moisture sensers available that could open the automatic valve and start the pump when the soil is dry and then shut off when it is moist enough?I would like to set it up so that each zone had its own senser.I have not been able to find a stand alone soil moisture control system
Thanks
