Rainbird esp6

I have the ESP 6 controller on my home system. It is not turning on any of the zones automatically or manually. I have reset the zones and the system is powered up. I tried using the test mode and even that does not turn on the system. What do I do next? Should I just replace the whole controller? I am the home owner and I haven't got a clue as to what to do next. Please help.

You check for a broken wire. A pro would use a multimeter and electrical resistance testing. (a multimeter can be had for much less than the price of a new controller)
