"Fault Light" on pressure controller

Hi from Cape Town,

My borehole has a submersible pump with with inline pressure reducing valve, filter, and pressure controller then onto irrigation valve manifold. The problem began with water seeping (slow drip) out of the pressure controller which is indicative of a leaking diaphram. Before I could replace the controller the pump stopped running and a fault light illuminated on the pressure controller. I suppose that the leaking water out of the controller resulted in a drop of pressure resulting in the pump switching off.
I have now replaced the pressure controller but i see that the fault light is illuminated on the new unit as well. I opened a valve which should should start the pump but the pump remains off.
Does the system need to be primed after replacing the pressure controller?
What is my next move in trouble shooting? (Checking capacitor?)
I am afraid of damaging the submersible pump.
Thanks
Terry ?(

Obviously, someone qualified for the job should be checking out the entire setup.
