Replace Diaphragm 100 DV

My system which has Rainbird 100 DV valves is leaking so I am trying to replace the diaphragm. I removed the 6 screws (with some difficulty). I have also tried removing the purge screw. I am unable to get the top off of the valve so I can put in the new diaphragm. How can I get it off without damaging it?

It should pop right off. Try hitting it with something. Use the handle of a big screwdriver. Use a hammer if you have to. It'll come off.
