Replacement Controller

I have a Richdel 446PR six zone controller and would like to replace it with something that has more programming flexibility. The Richdel is an indoor unit with a transformer output of 24V 1A. The Rain Bird RZX6I six station ESP-RZX timer seems like it would do the trick but I noticed its transformer is rated for 24V 650mA. Is the transformer amperage difference anything to worry about or will 650mA be enough to power my valves?

No worries. The Rainbird controller will operate your valves . =)
