Replace 4" sprayer with 6"sprayer

I'm trying to do this in my landscaping but when I have the 6" sprayer in there, it won't pop up and stay up. It's like it doesn't have enough water pressure. In this zone I have all 4" sprayers. ground cover is growing so wanting to replace them with taller units but if I don't have enough water pressure for that should I just add cut off nipples to extend them higher?

There are extender fittings you can thread onto the old risers. The new head you installed may have gotten dirt in it.
