ESP-SMTe - Multi-Zone Precipitation Rate

I am replacing an existing controller with the ESP-SMTe from Rainbird. One of the setup steps is the zone precipitation rate. The front yard has a total of 6 rotors split into two zones with 3 rotors in each zone in a rectangular 2 x 3 grid pattern. Each rotor is setup to spray to the next rotor. All of the reference material seems to imply that a zone should be a whole area of the yard on a single valve and that you'd set the precipitation rate based on that whole area (.45 inches per hour for example).

*------------*------------* Zone 1 Rotors
---------------------------
---------------------------
---------------------------
*------------*------------* Zone 2 Rotors

*** Tried to edit the "drawing" above but it may not display correctly.

When two zones cover a single area, do you still set it up as .45 inches per hour or do you cut it in half to .22 inches per hour?

Thanks for any help or insight!
