fertigator downfalls?

I was thinking about installing a fertigator into my existing sprinkler system, but one sales rep was discouraging me. He said that the fertilizer running through the fertigator deteriates the rubber seals and fittings through the system. Has anyone else heard of or experienced this or was he just trying to push a different brand?

Not true. It is proven that a fertigation system will not hurt your existing sprinkler system.
