Air blowout for winter

Air blowout for winter

Howdy-
I am currently installing my system, and have a question on using air to blow out the water for winter. What sort of fitting should I use on the end of the riser which I'll hook the air hose up to? Can it just be a 3/4" threaded with a cap?

Winterizations
When setting up you system for blow-outs the easiest way for miantinace purposes is to put a boiler drain below the vacuum breaker out side the house. A boiler drain looks just like the one that comes out of your house. Now when you are ready to blow your system out all you have to do is shut your water off down stairs and open up all your valves outside and turn on your air compressor.
