Yep, had the check book in hand when the "guy" with 25 years experience in irrigation told me he was stumped and would need to dig up the entire system to see where they were connected. Guess he did not believe me when I told him I have not dug up anything.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will replace the valves to see if this corrects the problem. They are pretty old anyway.

I'm all for replacing the valves

I feel since Zone 2 is the root of all problems here .. Then there must be something more indepth. I would close the flow controls down on the other valves- turn on 2 and turn off/ cap all the heads . Checking the meter would indicate if you have a underground break not surfacing.

Thanks, will try that this weekend. Worse case, I will replace all the valves with better ones.
