Hi,
It seems like you are having the same problem that other people are having, iam assuming that you have T-Bird heads or 5000? There are different heads that fit your application. you may wish to retrograde to a taller 6" pop-up instead of a 4", but realizing that you have 300+ heads, that would cost alot. Also you may wish to mow more frequently.
Write back to let me know if this at all answers your question
Thanks

Grass overgrowing sprinkler heads
We have a condo complex with about 300 heads to keep working. We bought the tools that cut the grass from around the heads but can a sand collar be used on turf to stop grasses from covering over the heads? Never seen them used in Ohio. We have a Rain Bird system that works well( except for people driving off the driveways and running over the heads.) Wondered if anyone has used the collars with success and where can they be purchased from and what is the cost?
