Thanks, I was not able to do anything today (long day at work). I will check for debris and the solenoid tomorrow.

Right, look for debris and double check the solenoid to make sure it's all the way in the off position.

Take apart the faulty valve and clean out the debris that will probably be in there.

Replaced valve not working

Hello everyone, my first post here. My sprinkler system is 10 years old.
I had to have a Hunter PGV 100 valve replaced in March. The repair tech
just replaced the top components on the valve, which I understand is
the way this is normally done, and instructed me on how to make the
repair myself. I had another valve begin leaking a couple of weeks ago
so I decided to rebuild the remaining valve in the system. I order
Hunter PVG-101GS from Sprinkler Warehouse and rebuilt the valves
yesterday. I tested everything, no problems.

I went to bed and woke up this morning to find the one zone has been running even though
the system is not set to water today. I turned the system off and am
heading to work. My questions is, What might be causing the valve to be
open when it tested fine the night before? Can anyone point me in the
right direction to start? Any help you can provide would be great. I am
planning to try and repair the issue tonight after work.

Thanks for everyone's time and patients with the new guy here.
