It might be loose wires in those boxes. A bad splice will show on your multi-meter. Check the ohms. See what the reading is. 20-60 is normal. Infinity is broken. A high reading is a bad splice. I'd check the ground wire in those two boxes. Maybe redo the connections.

Could also be the diaphragms. Could be debris in the valve.

Rainbird zones sometimes work

Hello all. I have a Rainbird ESP 6si system ( no rain sensor) installed professionally in 2004. Here is the problem - the first 2 zones sometimes work, sometimes don't, both in manual mode and auto. The 2 valves are located in separate boxes within 6 inches of each other. They can be turned on manually with the bleeder screw on a Rainbird valve.

The only thing that I have done so far is to reset controller by removing power, fuses and battery.

I have a multimeter to check wiring if I need to.
