leaking sprinkler head

Hi,

I have a Hunter PGP sprinkler system that is abou 20 years old. It has only 1, yes, 1, sprinkler head for the entire front yard, but it does the trick. The problem I am having is that it is leaking (gurgling) at the sprinkler head. The grass is quite green in a 3 foot radius from the head. I've read that debris in the valve can cause it not to cut off completely, but where is this valve? It is a manual turn on with 2 knobs.

Thanks,

Leslie
