A Hunter ICC can handle over thirty zones, and if you have any worries over the lady of the house having troubles with operating the controller, you could fit their remote control to the ICC. Operating the system by way of the remote will not alter the programming, so that might eliminate a worry.

If you are wanting to combine down to 1 or 2 controllers, my recommendation would be the Rain-Bird ESP-LX or maybe even the ESP-LXM (Modular). They are both easy to install, program, and should give you many years of trouble free service.

Controllers

I have 5 controllers running 6 stations each and would like to replace them to where I am either using 1 or 2 controllers, any recommendations and how hard is it to combine the 5 into 1 or 2. I also need a pump start on the new controllers. Need something easy to program so that the lady of the house won't have problems with it.
