Try this. Move the wire/s from the master valve to the common terminal. You have the right idea just the wrong terminal.

Hunter HPV Valves not working at all.

I just installed 2 Hunter HPV valves w/ flow control and they aren't working. I know that i wired them right, i one of the wires off each valve for the master valve and then other two wires would go 1 to each of the zones. I have tested these valves before i installed them and they worked. I used 16 gauge wire. There is no electrical current, nothing, not even a spark. Whats the problem? I know its not my controller? Help ME!!
