1/2" water line using 3/4" sprinkler heads?

I am having pressure issues with my front yard zone only and I am trying to eliminate possible causes. I believe my supply line has been limited by tree roots, however I have found other possible low water pressure issues.

Can you have 3/4" sprinkler head inlets on a 1/2" water line? Will it cause water pressure and GPH issues?
