Re-reading my original problem description, I'm not sure I clearly described the problem. While I tried to describe what my display looked like during the programming sequence, the bottom line is when I am finished following the instructions, my display does NOT look like the one in the manual and I am unable to set the program to provide water on the odd/even schedule. Maybe this will help someone understand my dilemma a little bit better. Thanks.
I just installed a Hunter Pro-C Indoor model. According to the manual, the only difference between indoor and outdoor is the outdoor model has the 120v connections INSIDE the box, while the indoor model has an external plug transformer (like a cordless phone) and requires a 120v outlet to plug into. You can use either one indoors, but NOT vice-versa.
Instructions say that to set Odd/Even watering cycle, first press -> button with the cursor on Sunday, then 'Interval' and 'Days Left' appear. (I assume the dial is on 'Set Days' at this point) Anyway when I press the -> button, the cursor simply skips from 'Sunday' to 'Odd Even', and unlike the illustration, 'Days Left' is never visible. Thanks for your response. It seems like you should be able to do that, but it is a moot point now as I have returned the 9-station module after talking with Sprinkler Warehouse, who said that it is NOT possible to simply add the 9-station to the base 3-station controller. I was advised to add three 3-station modules to get my 12, so I am moving in that direction.
The directions appear to say that I CANNOT expand from 3 stations to 12 stations by using a PCM-900 module to add 9 additional stations. They say that the PCM-900 module MUST BE USED ALONG WITH one PCM-300 module (in addition to the 3 stations that come with the controller) to expand to a total of 15 stations. I don't need 15 stations. Please confirm whether or not I can simply add the PCM-900 module to the 3 stations that come from the factory. Thank you.
