Coming in to previously installed systems
Hi all, We have been at our current place for a year now and just realized that there was previously an irrigation system installed. I am new and pretty ignorant when it comes to irrigation. I have been able to locate only one sprinkler head. Any advice on where to start to get this system up and running? Thanks
Where are you located?
Find your controller, valves. Find your water valves and turn them on.
Get a manual for your controller.
Go to Hunter.com and search for DIY installation. It will tell you the basics of a system.
If the system works but only one sprinkler head is popping up. Leave the system on for awhile and walk the perimeter of the lawn and feel for wet areas. The roots of the grass have most likely overtaken the sprinkler heads from the system being inactive for so long preventing them from pushing through the turf. Good Luck!
