The FertiGator will not increase the pressure in the irrigation system, therefore it should only require a pressure vacuum break backflow preventer. However, each state and local code has different rules for this sort of system. Each irrigation installer or homeowner is responsible for meeting the requirements in their area.

PER FERTIGATOR:
Do not apply weed control products through the FertiGator. Even if your sprinkler system doesn't normally contact any landscape plants, these products my harm landscape plants that are contacted by wind drift from your sprinkler system.

Please review all containers carefully, apply all products according to package directions and contact the manufacturer of the product if you have any questions or concerns regarding proper use and application.

Test the compatibility of all products before putting them through the FertiGator. Be careful what you mix and deliver together through the FertiGator. Mixing products can cause violent reactions, clogs or render one or all products ineffective and can damage your FertiGator and void your warranty.

any backflow will work ,but never put weed control in the device as your sprinklers hit all your landscape this would kill your plants ,use only fertilizer.
