All zones work except one

I have a 6 year old ESP-6TM Rainbird system. All zones are working perfectly except one (the second zone). This zone will not come on at all even with manual activation. No noises or anything. Husband tried turning the system on from that zone's box in the yard, but nothing happened. All other zones could be turned on this way. I know NOTHING about sprinkler systems, but would rather not spend a couple hundred dollars paying someone to fix it. Any ideas?

Take the top of the valve off. Check and see if the diaphragm fell apart.

Is the valve the larger plastic part that the solenoid attaches to? I assume the diaphram will be a circular flat piece? See, I told you I don't know anything about this stuff. :o)
