PSI and pipe question

Help. Tonight I noticed water bubbling up. found a hole about 1/8 " around. cut it and put in a coupler? and about a foot away a smaller hole. Think it's 80 psi pipe and we've lived here 20 years. thinking about replacing that section of pipe (one inch) but now I'm worried...is there a life to sprinkler lines and am I going to have leaks springing up all over the place? the are that was leaking was over a septic tank, if that makes a difference.

Poly pipe can endure indefinitely, but it will always be easy to damage, so you can't poke at it with metal spikes. That can rule out any deep soil aeration, or even shallow aeration.
