What type of pump do you have?

1/2 horse myers pump. it was rebuild
Assuming the Myers pump came with a Square-D pressure switch, you'd look to turn the larger nut clockwise, to compress the larger of the two springs, to raise the pressure at which the pump cuts in. The smaller spring, can be compressed in the same way, to increase the pressure at which the pump cuts out. Adjust the cut-in first. You might not have to do anything with the cut-out adjustment.
Just a guess but I bet adjusting the pressure switch wont help. Tell me if I am wrong.
Thanks,
Pete
