If the existing system has 6 rotors on one zone, why not? Corner heads might keep those 2-gpm nozzles, and the half-circle heads would get 4-gpm nozzles. That gives you 16 gpm for 6 heads.

Hi Wet_Boots!

The old system had 3 zones for the 6 pop-up sprinklers. If I can manage with one zone, that will leave me the other 2 with the anti-siphon valves, etc. to water the areas that are not presently covered.

I may have read it wrong. I assumed that with 50 PSI with the 5 nozzel it is 2 gpm, so my total for the 6 PGP's should be 12 GPM. As you mentioned 4 will be 90 degrees, and 2 will be 180 degrees.

Thoughts?

Assuming equal spray distances, the half circle heads should spray twice the water of the quarter circle heads, since they cover twice the area.

There will be a limit what one antisyphon valve will allow to flow through it, so don't look at all three valves open at once, and assume that water can pass through a single valve.

The irrigation place gave me a Rainbird 1/2" 1/2" 12" swing assembly to use with the PGP's. Thoughts? I have 3/4" PVC running all over.

Hi Wet_Boots!

They gave me the adapter to convert the PGP from 3/4 to 1/2, and then use the funny pipe. My concern is whether it is restrictive to use the funny pipe, or it is not an issue.
