PSI GAUGE

I CHECKED MY PSI WITH A WATTS PRESURE GAUGE, 90 PSI.
I DO NOT HAVE A REGULATOR ON MY HOUSE. 3/4'' COPPER WITH 5/8'' METER
THOUGHT THIS WAS HIGH OR GAIGE WAS DEFECTIVE.
SO I GRABBED A ORBIT#53020 AT LOWES TODAY AND THIS ONE GAVE ME A READING OF 60 PSI.
WHICH ONE DO YOU THINK A SHOULD GO BY?

I would go to a local distributor and purchase a liquid filled gauge. The liquid / glycerin in the doesn't make it more accurate but they tend to be a better / more accurate gauge. Then try it again, especially since you had two very different readings.

Just another thought, what time was it when you took the reading? Was it about the same time in the day. Pressures can fluctuate depending on the demand in your neighborhood.

THANKS, IT WAS THE SAME TIME OF DAY LATE AFTERNOON.
I'LL TRY THE LIQUID FILLED GAUGE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
I GUESS THE BEST TIME OF DAY TO CHECK IS WHEN THE IRRIGATION WILL
ACTUALLY BE RUNNING?

Yes, you are correct, It would be best to test the pressure at the time you are planning to run the irrigation system. It might also be a good idea to test it over a period of time (7-10 days). This will give you a better average incase there are some major drops in pressure on certain days.
