leaking head

One of our zones doesn't seem to shut completely. After it cycles, it continues to leak water until the system shuts off.
Is this a valve problem?
I haven't replaced one before, pretty easy? It's a Rainbird system.

It aould be the valve that is not closing. do you know where your valves are? Pretty easy fix. find your valves and get the make and model number and SW wiil have the stuff you need to fix it.
Thanks,

Pete

Do you have a completely level yard? Is the zone that leaks downhill from all the others? If so, you have what we call low head drainage. It is an easy problem to fix with a few added parts. If not, it could be a valve problem, but would be rare. I have only seen a couple of valves that would seep / or leak (not completely closing) and neither were Rain-bird (Hardie Ultra-Flow).
