Sprinkler System Will not Power Up

I have a Richdel sprinkler system from the late 70s and it will not power on. I'm not sure what to do

Wont power on

Make sure there's power coming out of the outlet. Plug something else into it. See if the transformers warm or cold. It's supposed to be warm. Cold means it's probably dead. Check the fuse in the timer. Good chance the fuse is blown due to a short in the system somewhere. Usually a solenoid but could be the wiring.
