Rainbird sprinkler head

I hit my sprinkler head with the lawn mower and destroyed it. When I dug it up and went to screw in another head I realized the threads that the head screws into were cracked. How do I attach another pipe with threads to screw the sprinkler head into? The box says that pipe cements can't be used or it will break down the plastic.

Heads have female threads, so they don't screw into anything.

If it's a broke off riser use a riser removal tool. If the fitting needs to be replaced you'll have to
cut it out and glue another one in place.
If you could post a picture we would know exactly what to
tell you.
