Leaking Valve/Sprinkler Head
I recently had a valve break and replaced with a new valve. The system will run and water just fine but once the system is turned off water still runs through the pipes and out of the head. It mostly goes out of one particular head, not enough for the head to pop up but a constant drip if you will. I can turn the water meter off and it will eventually stop leaking. but once I turn the meter back on within mins the water begins to leak out of that particular head. I have also changed heads and this did not correct the problem. Did the valve get put in incorrectly?? Please help and thanks!
Is there a master valve in the system?
A master valve is an additional layer of shutoff-protection. But still, a brand-new valve, properly installed, should shut off reliably on its own. What make and model of valve are you dealing with?
It is a weathermatic, not 100% sure on the model but i think a 21000 series
I take that back....a 12000 series
Okay pretty sure i have narrowed it down to this one.
12024EF-10-H - Weathermatic 1 inch 12000 Silver Bullet Series Plastic Control Valve with Flow Control

Make sure the manual operator is not slightly open - you might have to disassemble it and clean out debris.
