2 problems

hello,

i have two problems i need help with. i have a ten year old system, i live in phoenix, i shut down the system in november and turn it back on in march, last year when i started it back up zone 1 which controlls my drip lines had a high pitched hum for the first day i ran it then went away. this year i have turned on 2 weeks ago and now every cycle it just hums the entire time,loud enough to wake the family up. also every year i have to replace the same 5 sprinkler heads they work for a few weeks then they stop spraying again any idea on what is causing these problems ?

Hum is from a solenoid, which can be replaced.
