Sprinkler Issue - sometime does not shut-off

Hi -

Total new when it comes to sprinkler systems.

Recently bought a house. It has toro sprinkler system. I guess it has 2 zones.

Anyway, it works fine most of the time but i had 3 instanes when my neighbour came to me in the evening when i came back from office telling me that my sprinkler system was running forever and she switched of by turning the mechanical lever.

I have never seen this happen over the weekend when I am home.

Usually this happened in the afternoon.

Anyone knows what could be wrong here?

Is there anything i need to replace?

Again the sprinkler runs well and personally i have never seen this problem myself.

Any suggestions , pointers will be helpful.

Try turning the flow control down a bit, clockwise. This will help the valve shut off.
If it happens again a new diaphragm should do the trick.
Do you know what model valve it is?
