Richdel Model 217PR Solenoid

I am trying to find information on a Model 217PR Richdel (hope if have it right) solenoid valve. Can not figure out how to tear it apart other than removing the top.

You're on the right track. Take the top off.

You might be looking at an original-model 217 valve. Those had a flat black rubber diaphragm that extended to a wee bit beyond the edge of the cover and body. The cover screws went through the diaphragm. Make sure you have the correct replacement part, since the current production of that valve is named 217B, and its diaphragm is different than the original, and won't work as a replacement.
