Can you suggest a Master Valve for my system?

I need a master valve to put in the house, to shut the water off from the main line when system in not in use.

Burt,

We sell PVC manual ball valves you can install which allow you to shut off the water supply to the sprinkler system.

You can also choose an electric valve and install it close to the water supply source and run the wire connections to the controller master valve connections of the controller. The master valve will then turn on everytime the sprinkler system is set to run and turn off when the system is set to go off.

Installing a master valve is a great idea since it prevents water waste (not to mention the mess) if one of your control valves (zone valves) goes out.

Any sprinkler valve will work. I recommend the Rain Bird 100-DV valve. It is found on the following page on our website:

I hope this answers your question, if not just reply and keep asking!

If you want an electric control valve you can use an Irritrol 2400T valve or a manual Ball Valve

OK I am sure he has already selected his valve, so what's the point of bringing the thread back up? Is it to get your post count up?

RVLI- Dont chew out Ray. It is fine to bring up old issues. I like to read about other ideas. As you can see lots of people read the responses to posts and they may be getting questions answered or like my self gathering information.

Thanks,

Pete
