****o to all,
thanks for the help. i appreciate your responses that
shed some light on my question.
lush, as far as your problem with tom is concerned, it
is your problem....not mine or anyone elses. i dont know
how talented tom is...however he has responded to my
questions and done his best. you have responded with
nothing that is helpful to this situation. all you have
done is used this forum to vent your anger over something.
so as much or as little as tom knows he has been infinately
more helpful than you. take your knowledge and use it as
it is supposed to be used on here and make your self useful
and not a nuisance.
best to all
dana b
tom knows very little about lawn sprinklers and i would run circles around him on a job. he wouldnt last a day where i work.
danabrenn, you might have to wait patiently for a response from lush96...............
****o again,
i have 2 quad manifolds and 1 triple manifold. premanufactured. hopefully the link provided will allow you to see quad manifold and the triple manifold.

the manifolds connect to the valves using these adapters

i will cap one end with the following cap

the remaining ends of the manifold will have the following slip adapters

i will use schedule 40 pvc to unite the manifolds using the slip adapters above.
hope this is more understandable. i hope that the image links work. if not you can certainly go to sprinklerwarehouse.com. click on the link on the right side of the page called 'manifolds'.
thanks again

Sorry to be so picky... but could you describe the manifold better...
is each manifold already together so that it already has space for either 4 or 3 valves? are they individual tees that you are putting together for how many valves you got? if so... are they white?
My only concern is that if something happened and the manifold didn't get blown out properly...
If the piece between the manifolds is threaded on both ends then if there is ever a crack in it, it can be replaced easily...
You could also leave a drain at the end of the manifold to be opened in the fall... but that's just an extra... i dont do it because I feel like the homeowner is less likely to call me to get winterized if they feel like all they have to do is open that drain
hope I didn't make things worse... if I did... let me know and I'll think more carefully about what I wanted to get across
****o again...
yes, it does seem to be bleeping the **** out of ****o..
go figure..

hi bsme,
thanks for the note.
i am in the new england area...so it does freeze...
i have a mechanism for blowing out the system in the
fall to hopefully eliminate any freezing issues.
the valves are hunter pgp valves. 1" male thread on the
supply side, output has barbs for the poly pipe.
the manifolds are manufactured...i believe that they are
rainbird manifolds.
the pipes coming out of the valves are 1" poly pipe.
hope this helps.
take care

is the forum really bleeping out the beginning part of helo?
where are you located? I'm just wondering about whether or not it freezes.
what are your sprinkler lines after the valve... pvc or poly?
also what kind of manifold are you using? prebuilt manifolds or manifold tees?
the way you got it set up now doesn't sound bad at all... if you could answer the questions though I could probably tell you exactly what i'd do...
