Wireless Rain-Clik Rain Sensor
I had a wireless rain-clik rain sensor installed, last December, it worked until March. The red light comes on indicating that the system should not come on. But, the system does come on. Can anyone give me some help on how to rectify this problem.
Check the connection of the wires in the controller from the WRC box. Make sure they are tight. Also, make sure the controller has not been put in sensor bypass mode... This will have the controller ignore the WRC.
I have checked the wiring and the wiring is tight. Still no luck. The following is how the sensor is hooked up to the controller. Tell me if this is right or wrong. I am not in the bypass mode.
sen= blue wire
sem= white wire
rem= nothing hooked up
ac1= yellow wire
ac2= yellow wire
grd= green
There is an orange wire hooked up to nothing.
My terminals in the comptroller is from the top to the bottom in the sequence listed above
When you say the system still comes on, are you referring to it as automatically, or manually. The controller will bypass any sensor information if you are running it in the manual mode. If you are running in the auto the sensor should interrupt any watering at that point.

Have you made sure the WRC control box is not in bypass mode?? If you push the button on the receiver, it will turn the light red and bypass the sensor.
if its a pro-c controller or icc, install it WITHOUT using the snsor terminals. i know this from experience. my company went crazy trying to figure this out. so we had a hunter rep come out and basically tell us that they pretty much screwed up with the rain sensor terminals. wire it this way...........both yellows to the 2 ac terminals.......blue into the common terminal on the timer......then twist your common wire with the white together and wire nut it. orange is still nothing. remember you need to go where the actuall rain sensor is installed and push the little pin down behind the cup and hold it for 5 seconds to reset the sensor anytime you cut power off to the timer. wire it the way i have explained. it will work.
funny this is up here i have the same problem...i have a icc controler and a wireless rain click also and it came on last night after it got done raining and the light was red but the controller still let the zones come on and the switch was not in the by-pass position so i haven't had time to look at it yet.. i will try what you suggest lush tks
dont forget the wireless sensors have two little batterys that havbe to be replaced.

If the rain sensor doesnt use the sensor terminals you have to make sure that there is a jumper from 1 terminal to the other.
