Controllers are sticking in the on position

I have 2 zones that will come on OK but do not turn off. If I tap the controller box it will tun off.
So it is just getting stuck. Is it possible to pull the controller and re-build or do I need to just replace the controller? I did not install this system, so is there a better brand of controller that I can use if I am going to replace?

You'll get a variety of answers on this question. I prefer the Hunter line of controllers. Number one they're reliable. Number two they're easy to understand and program. Indoors I recommend the Hunter Pro C Plus. If you can't program that controller then you probably can't tie your shoes either. Outdoor I recommend the Hunter Pro C. Also simple to program.

The SRC comes in 6 and 9 stations.

The Pro C comes as a 3 station controller. You need to add modules to expand that number. Easily done. Simple as changing a lightbulb.
