Troubleshooting guide available?
Hi Everybody!
Is there a good troubleshooting guide available anywhere?
Rainbird system - recently dug a 160 ft trench and there are one or more wires broken -none of the zones come on.
Thanks,
JT
Sounds like and easy fix to me provided you just cut the wires in half. You know where the trench is. Use common sense to figure where the wires cross the trench and do a little digging or use a wire locator to pinpoint the break.
Unfortunately a good portion of the trench just happens to run parallel with the sprinkler PVC and wires.
Just to ensure this is a cut wire and not something else, I wanted to just turn on a zone manually.
Shouldn't I be able to turn on a zone by turning the solenoid to the "On" position? (1/4 counterclockwise turn)
I can complete unscrew the whole solenoid and the only water visible is a very slight trickle from the top of the valve.
The master shut-off is completely open as is the two valves on the PVB.
I tried this on 7 different valves with the same results.
now find the master valve
That one still eludes me.
